Luxury Tower by Ministry of Design

Singapore design firm Ministry of Design has won the Saporiti Design Award for the conception of a luxury tower that holds, stores and displays opulent objects.

The idea of luxurious commodities as life’s precious memories was inspired by the poem “All The World’s A Stage.” The tower consists of 6 modular components, each representing a different stage in life.

Each of the containers is crafted using a different material, symbolizing a particular stage in life.

‘Infant’ is crafted from raw pinewood, ‘Schoolboy’ covered with monochromatic plaid printed on leather, ‘Lover’ in etched smoke mirror, ‘Soldier’ from brushed steel, ‘Judge’ with a polished, gold-plated finish, and ‘Pantaloon’ with polished petrified timber.
